Since server launch back in late 2005, EfU:A has had a wide range of sub races implemented, even including custom, setting inspired sub races. Below, you will find a table listing all the currently implemented sub races available to players. However, this is not necessarily a final list; if you have a concept in mind that involves a sub race not listed below, contact a DM directly or send in an application anyway. Many sub races have been added entirely because of player applications, and if we feel it is warranted, we will gladly add new ones.
While we encourage everyone to make liberal use of the sub races that do not first require approval, the ones that do require approval will, in an effort to retain the air of uniqueness surrounding them, be kept a minority. This, together with the sheer volume of sub race applications received, means a sub race application stands a much greater chance of being approved if the player has already previously played one or more successful characters with non-approval races.

The below table gives an overview of all the sub races we currently make available to players. Clicking on a sub race will display both details of its implementation as well as any general information you as a player may want to know. Note that this information pertains exclusively to implementations in EfU: A -- that is, not other servers' implementations and in many cases not according to official sources. Several adjustments are in place solely to cancel out default, hard coded adjustments. For instance, gold dwarves will receive a +2 Cha bonus to make up for the standard penalty, and most halflings will have the Lucky feat removed. All adjustments are relative adjustments, meaning values should be added to the base race's default adjustments. Also, mind that all information is subject to change at our discretion.
